Our GIRLS GIVE BACK Summer Camp, for girls in 6th through 10th grade, gives students a unique opportunity to create visual art to give back to a local community benefactor - The Gathering Place. This drawing and painting class will not only provide great instruction in making art but gives girls the opportunity to contribute some brightness to the lives of underserved women in our community. The class will be structured to provide learning and practice in drawing, painting and compositional techniques culminating in painted works to be donated to the clients at The Gathering Place. We will use inspiration from the world around us to choose the type of drawing or painting we will work on for our final project. On Friday (June 30), friends and family are invited to join us to see what we’ve been working on all week. We also hope to present our creations to our community partner at that time.
