Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD)

Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) improves the quality of life of the Evergreen community by providing facilities, parks, amenities and programs for all ages and stages.

Evergreen Park & Recreation District (EPRD) is a Special District createdin 1969  to serve the park and recreation needs of our constituents. 

Today, Evergreen Park & Recreation District serves approximately 22,000 people residing within the District boundaries. Evergreen is easily accessed via I‐70, Hwy 285, or Hwy 74 through Bear Creek Canyon. The District is one of the largest in the state, covering 50,000 acres (78 square miles) in the foothills west of Denver. The District serves the communities of Evergreen, Bergen Park, Indian Hills, Kittredge, and Marshdale, who place high value in their parks, recreation facilities, and programs. They recognize the importance of these services as an enhancement to the quality of life of the community.

This commitment is embodied in the District’s strong parks and recreation system with unique facilities such as Buchanan Park, Buchanan Park Recreation Center, Evergreen Lake House and Wulf Recreation Center.
