Estes Park Tree Lighting Ceremony

Light up the season in Estes Park at the 7th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony. This event has become an Estes Park tradition with its unique characteristics and community recognition.

Participants can celebrate the holiday season by making an ornament at the ornament workshop, decorating a cookie, or writing a letter to Santa and dropping it in his bag. Candy, cookies and hot chocolate will be provided as
Santa poses for photos with children and listens to their Christmas wishes. Christmas characters will be around for photo ops as well. A bubble & glow station will be availalbe as well where kids can get free bubbles and glow in the dark bracelets. All activities are free of charge.

  • 5pm - 6pm: The Highland Brass will headline a Rocky Mountain Winter Concert
  • 6pm: Mayor Todd Jirsa will perform the official lighting of the tree
  • 6:05pm: Estes Park Elementary Rocky Mountain Echoes Choir will perform

Donations of non-perishable food, hygiene products and monetary donations will be accepted for the Blue
Santa program by uniformed Police Department Auxiliary members. These donations are delivered to
disabled, shut-in and elderly community residents in mid-December. For more information on Blue Santa,
