About the Book:
Taking a different approach, Gershkovich uses caloric intake, scientific research on circadian rhythms, nervous system reset techniques and baby cues to help the families she works with get long stretches of sleep. Using the method (Baby Created Sleep© Method), she put together the guidebook for parents to scribble all over and take notes in. It covers everything a new parent needs to know when it comes to nutrition, sleep and getting the best of both. Some helpful methods explained in the book include:

  • Morning and night time routines to help your baby associate day and night

  • Resetting your baby’s nervous system for calm sleep

  • Regressions (why your baby “regresses” to old behavior during growth spurts)

  • Baby physical and emotional development + communication

The book is geared toward new parents or parents who are experiencing sleep deprivation during the first year of a second, third or fourth child. It covers both physical development, including weight and milestones, and emotional development, such as separation anxiety and communication.

About the Author:
Rachelle Gershkovich has been working with babies from a very young age. “I wanted to be “Nurse Nancy” in the childhood book from the Golden Books collection,” she says. “To me, she was the perfect picture of a caretaker and problem solver.” Fast forward to today and that dream is pretty spot on. Rachelle now owns Maternal Instincts, a concierge nanny company offering overnight care, sleep training, night nurses, after-birth doula care and new parent support. Rachelle is known to her community as a “baby whisperer” and has saved families from thousands of hours of sleepless nights. A Colorado native, Rachelle is a parent to four children and “mama bird” to her team of nannies.
