Beginning Ink: Teen T-Shirts

This one day workshop covers the basics of 1-color screenprinting on T-shirts where upon completion you'll be 95%* certified to use Open Studio to print your own 1-color shirts. We'll cover art, film prep, screens, mesh, emulsion, squeegees, inks, exposure, registration - pretty much everything you need to know to get up and printing some super fine shirts. The morning session starts with some of the basics and demonstrations. Then we'll continue by preparing your art, exposing screens during lunch and spend the afternoon printing.
Printing: You’ll be printing up to 6 shirts of a single image you create. Maximum size of print is 10x10 and you will use the same ink color on all the shirts you bring.
DON'T FORGET: you need to bring T-shirts to print on (up to 6 shirts) and an image you want to print. More details once you register!
* Your first time back will be charged the non-certification rate for the first hour so we can help assist in jogging your memory. Once you have shown you can work independently without needing help with the basics (items covered in workshop), you will then be considered certified and pay the certified rate.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations with less than one week notice are non-refundable. You may be placed on the next workshop waiting list, but if that class fills up then credit will be applied towards items in our shop. Cancellations with more than one week notice have the option of a refund or moving to a future workshop.
